I saw this movie last week and I really like it. I understand the critics complaint because the movie skip around a lot. You get to see him in late years and then you see him in 20s then it skip to when he was in 40s then back to 20s then back older years. Sometime it is hard to keep up but I think Leo did great job for the character.
What do you guys think of the chance that TinTin in Best Animation category? Is it even gonna be in the Best Animation? Personally, I hope movies like Shame, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, or Drive can win the Best Picture. Realistically, The Artist, The Descendants, or War Horse as my top guess for Picture. I'm also hoping for Michael Fassbender or Brad Pitt as Best Actor but I think Geroge Clooney is gonna win.

@TheFury Look, I don't think we'll ever gonna agree on this. To me, there is a difference between a cameo and a lead performance. I don't care he sign up for this movie because as long as he didn't sign up for the lead role then this cover is meant to con money out of fans. The fact that this is consider a common practice to lure viewer in is not something I'm ok with and I'm fully support Jesse for doing this even if he doesn't win. I'm sure you are ok with it and think distribution company has every right to use the image to fraud the fans but I don't.

@TheFury When did I say that he was doped into this? I understand why the distribution company did this to him but it is not right that this kind of practice had been going on for so long. I know it is legal but ethically it is wrong. I know he is not going to win but I support him for bringing awareness. George Clooney didn't sue doesn't mean Jesse shouldn't.

@slysnide BTW, thank you for writing all of this. I might not know film industry but I love learning about it.

@slysnide Ok, from what I gathered, you have LionsGate responsible for both production and distribution. From IMDB, the production company is Holedigger Films and the distribution companies are LionsGate and Grindstone Entertainment Group. I thought it is the production company's job to hire director and producers not distribution company. If that is so, how will a lawsuit against a distribution company affect someone who was hired by a production company which is another entity.

@ejk1 Ok, I get it. I heard Robin William did once in his contract (I think it is Aladdin) and I thought something similar happened to him. I understand why the distribution company did this but it is deceiving . I'm not sure how many celebrity ever brought this to light but I still stand by my opinion that I support Jesse in this lawsuit even though he is going to lose. Thank you for your time. My first comment is in haste.

@ejk1 Out of curiosity, can an actor put a clause in the contract that prevent a distribution company from doing this? I thought at the end, it would be the contract that determines the end result. BTW, I have to no illusion that he will win this case but I like his effort to put this kind of thing in light. Whatever you said on here, I'm sure Jesse's legal team probably already told him. If he knows he is going to lose, then the statement "The actor states that he has sued Lionsgate to "warn his fans and the public that, contrary to [the film's advertising], he is not the star of and does not appear in a prominent role in Camp Hell."" is the ultimate goal.

@slysnide Filmmaker is a general term so I want some clarification because his friend was a film director and I thought they are not responsible for the DVD cover art. Now, according to the lawsuit, it was LionsGate who present the initial cover art to him and he rejected it. LionsGate is a distribution company and it was my impression that they were doing the advertisement for the DVD not his friend who was a film director. Like you said, I'm not familiar with film industry so you might need to shed some light on their job description.

@ejk1 But isn't this a little shaky on the ethical ground? His character is very insignificant to the storyline and they bill him as a lead on that cover. Actually, that cover leaves little doubt on what they were trying to do. I know film industry is not the only one who is doing this, but it is not right on the ethical ground. I know that I'm willingly buying it on the ground that I thought he was the lead of this movie. I can sue them for deception but my lawsuit is probably small compare to what Jesse is doing right now. He may not win (and I have a feeling he might know that), but it brought a lot of question on ethics. LionsGate is a $1.7 Billion dollar company and it makes you wonder how many of that is from numerous films from this type of advertisement.

@ejk1 Points taken... Now if you can tell me that your statement "
There is nothing wrong with that; " was written tongue in cheek then I apologize. I read too many posts from other website that sites that this is a common practice and he should just let it go. Personally, I don't think he'll win because the contract have the final say. But as a consumer, I'm not ok with this kind of false advertisement.

@ejk1 @slysnide @TheFury : Wow, some of you guys are just unbelievable. Its one thing that movie executives like to con money out of people but it is another where people like you guys are ok with it. Its like saying "Hey, apparently everyone does it so I guess I'm ok to get doped by them" Really guys? You guys rather support a big corporation like LionsGate to continuously do sh*t like this and against Eisenberg for attempting to stop it from happening? Also slysnide and ejk1, you want me to feel sorry for LionsGate? Do you actually think that I'll feel sorry for a $1.7 Billion dollar company? Yes, that is Billion not Million! He is suing LionsGate, NOT his friend. I'm sure LionsGate loves people like you guys.
