personally, they shouldn't remake the franchise all over again. there's only been 3 films and it's a good series. sure batman begins and the dark knight did have some flaws(BB: inaccurate portrayal of ras al ghul as bruce's trainer, scarecrow's getup being dumb, no fight between batman and scarecrow, and burning down wayne manor. TDK: giving the assumption that joker wears makeup, rather than being a permenant clown due to falling in a vat of chemicals, and acting like harvey dent/twoface got killed at the end.), but nonetheless, they are still good films and i hope that the dark knight rises is more accurate than the previous 2 films.
so, rather than remaking it all over again, continue on with a 4th film that introduces the 8-year-old dick grayson(aka robin) and has joker and penguin as the villains, with joker being played by the guy who plays him in the joker blogs. the 4th film and any sequels afterwards can still be dark like the first 3 films. the justice league film, which should take place after the 4th batman film, can also be dark, but maybe not as dark as the solo batman films, but just dark and serious enough. possibly moreso than the avengers film.
