I haven't seen this move but heard it was pretty disappointing.

But I do wanna check it out just 'cause it has Monica Bellucci in it.

A good movie. I enjoyed it. A nice mix of drama and action. I like some of this type of urban action/ dramas.

I enjoyed the movie for it's action and escapism but that's about it. I can't say it was a good movie.

It's all show, NO GO!!! Also, not forgetting some stupid sequences, absurd and superficials stunts and bad CGI.

And for some odd reasons, some of the critics on Yahoo said this was better one compared to the Original. How's that? :?: :?
This movie was surprisingly good. I knew it wasn't a horror movie but didn't except much from it.

But after watching it, I got my money's worth. It's a fairly decent thriller and keeps you engaged until the end. Also, I thought it ran at fairly good pace for a short movie.

The more I seen Rachael McAdams the more I like her. I've been digging her smile a whole lot. She's a better brunette than blonde imo. 8)

Why does Peter Hyams make bad movies these days?

I thought he was competent director but guess not.

This movie was better than I thought. I liked it and also, it turned out to be funnier than what others told me.

Now, I've got to watch 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' which I heard is funnier and better than
'The Wedding Crashers'.

David Fincher is NOT directing it. He never was. Originally, Joe Carnahan (NARC) was gonna direct this one but then he left due to creative differences or some other problems.

Then some one introduced Cruise to J.J. Abrams, the creator of the t.v. show 'Alias' and since then Cruise decided to go w/ J.J. Abrams to direct M:I:III.

That also resulted in the cast change. Originally they had Carrie Anne-Moss and Scarlett Johansson in the movie.

Now they got Kerri Russell, Michelle Monaghan, Johnathan Rhys-Meyers, Laurence Fishburne, Phillip Seymor Hoffman, some asian actress (don't remember the name) and ofcourse, Ving Rhames.

This movie will def be a spy thriller but w/ subtle action as well, I think. :P

May 5th, 2006 --- mark your calendars.

This movie was a disappointment. I was expecting something better. The psychological chill factor is there and Connelly does a good job but the overall feel of the movie is boring and the suspense is sort of predictable. The end sux too.

I've no idea why studios/ execs decided to release this movie in the middle of summer? This would be a good late winter/ early spring movie or late fall (Halloween or afterwards) movie.

**Few Spoilers Ahead For Those Who Haven't Seen This Movie Yet. Just Wanna Mention That.**

This movie was good and better than I expected. The special effects were awesome, and the action sequences (as usual of Michael Bay movies) were terrific. It was one of the better Michael Bay movies imo. I like his style of technical expertise and directing. Nice cinematography, too.

However, it did have some flaws and editing mistakes.

For example:
Towards the end when McGregor's character is flying back to the Institute in the helicopter, his right forehead scar was on the left forehead and then back to left.

During the chase on the expressway, why does the truck not stop even when though those axel wheels or whatever kept falling and crashing into other vehicles w/ stuff breaking and exploding?

Also, how come there are no surveillance cameras in the area where McGregor's character comes out from the underground for the 1st time and explores the area above the ground level w/ offices and surgery rooms?

I like the looks of futuristic L.A w/ monorails and the several advertisements of products in the movie such Tagheuer watch, Amtrak (hovering train ride thru desert), Michelob Light beer in a cool looking bottle, MSN touch screen phone directory for the public, several types of cars including the AWESOME Cadillac CIEN 8O 8), the flying motorcraft or whatever you call it, etc. 8)

It's too bad the movie performed weakly at the box-office. But then again, does an average movie watcher care for such sci-fi actioner w/ Ewan McGregor & Scarlett Johanson as main stars w/ decent supporting cast?

I guess not.

^yeah the trailer was good and the movie looks entertaining but I won't be surprised if it bombs 'cause just who out of the average joe cares for a movie based on Alan Moore graphic novels starring Hugo Weaving & Natalie Portman and directed by the 1st Unit Technical or Photography director of The Matrix trilogies?

Oh and not forgetting, The Wachowski Brothers who are producing this movie along w/ Joel Silver.

Looks good - but can't differenciate it too much from the Resident Evil series on basis of the action scenes. To make it worthy they'll have to bring newer and bigger stuff!

I hope this movie does not turn out to be another Resident Evil type actioner. I wasn't impressed by the teaser.

All these game based action movies are usually cheesy. Plus, if they are in the distant future, how come they still use auto-machine guns (w/ bullets i.e.) instead of plasma, laser or something along that line? That movie "Soldier" (w/ Kurt Russell) and "Starship Troopers" had the same problem.

Anyways, I hope it's good.

I read the following on www.darkhorizons.com:

Spider-Man 3: The Chameleon will be the villain according to Development Hell with the tracks very significantly laid for Green Goblin II and to a lesser extent Kraven the Hunter.

Not a bad looking Joker photo at all but I agree w/ Ibosquet's post. By the way, does any one know who's that actor or is it just some random person w/ make-up and photoshop enhancements?

I hope they release the sequel in 2007 instead of 2008 'cause 2008 just seems so far away. :(

I know WB wouldn't want to compete w/ Spidey 3 in 2007 even if they are released in different months but hey, X3 and Superman Returns are coming out during different months of next year.

Plus, no Justin Timberlake as H. Dent/ Two Face. God, that would be a ridiculous casting, imo. He's too young to play a character of Harvey Dent and his voice is like a girl. I just can't see him a fit for this character. He might make an ok Robin, I suppose?

I'm def looking forward to this movie. Peter Jackson is an amazing director. I would like to see him do more of the non epic type movies though such as 'The Frightners' or something in the near future.
I liked the last Harry Potter movie a lot. I think it was the best one so far. I wished Alfonso C. would've returned for the next one but I'm still looking forward to the upcoming new Harry Potter movie. :)
darknight2 posted in the forum: Xmen: The Last Stand
I read on darkhorizons.com & xmenfilms.net that Kelsey Grammar will play (Dr. Hank McCoy/ 'Beast') and Nick Stahl (T3/ Sin City) is being rumored to play 'Angel'. There also might be Kitty Pride and a strong chance of Gambit being in X3. Plus, Alan C*mming will not be reprising his 'NightCrawler' character. Vinni Jones is suppose to play
'Juggernaut'.

I don't know which story line they will have for X3 aside from the some what obvious of
Jean Grey as Phoenix but I would like to see the 'Sentinels' among other things. And hopefully someday, a story line featuring either Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse (w/ 'Cable') or the Shi' Ar empire. :)

I got the following from www.darkhorizons.com
Wild Rumours: "Batman 2"
Batman-on-Film is reporting that Aussie actress Isla Fisher ("Scooby Doo", "Wedding Crashers") may be the new 'love interest' in the "Batman Begins" sequel. Cinescape is reporting that pop star Justin Timberlake is being considered for the role of Two-Face. And names ranging from Sean Penn to Paul Bettany are being mentioned for The Joker. All of this sounds like pure and utter BS speculation at best, though I like those two Joker possibilities.

Meanwhile, Director Chris Nolan apparently spoke with Laceby News about whether he'd come back to direct a sequel - "If David's writing it, Christian's still Batman, and everyone else is returning.....me not returning would be like the only student of a graduating class skipping the big day to wash the car" said the British helmer.

He dropped some other hints such as "Like Begins, one clear cut villain isn't the plan " and the likelihood of Robin appearing "The studio wasn't interested in Robin. We weren't either. This is a young Batman, so Robin's a few films....not for a few pictures anyway. Dick Grayson's still in a crib somewhere. I seriously doubt I will even be involved when Robin's in the franchise" says Nolan.

Crispin Glover would look like a good Joker but I don't know if he can act well at Christopher Nolan's standard.

Btw, what you guys think should be the title for the next Batman movie and when do you think it will be released? When would you like to see the sequel released?

I thought the movie was ok - slightly above average. I liked it b/c of a good combination of humor, fx & action. At 1st, I wasn't sure Tim Story (Barbershop), the director, would be a good choice for this movie but after watching I didn't mind.

I agree w/ the poster's above on not being at the same level as the recent Spiderman movies. I wish it was like that though.

I also agree w/ the poster, Escape, on Jessica Alba. I thought she was too young to play Sue Storm's character. I wish they had chosen a slightly older actress. Plus, Alba isn't even a true hair blonde. Sue Storm was a true blonde hair woman w/ blue eyes I think.

Ioan Gruffud and Michael Chiklis played their characters pretty well. I liked them in their normal as well superhero forms. Chris Evans, Johnny Storm/ The Human Torch character was well-fit w/ his show off, caucky attitude and the one liners. Although, some of the one liners and humor were cheesy.

Julian McMahon did a decent job playing V V. Doom/ Dr. Doom but his character was weak in my opinion. Plus, the story that was made up which set 4 vs. Doom from their normal form and after they are transformed isn't true w/ comic book story line.

Special fx were really good. I was impressed. Yeah, at times Mr. Fantastic's fx did look fake but it didn't matter really or bother me like it did w/ the stupid CGI Hulk.

Also, I had read somewhere that Kerry Washington's character had to do something w/ a villain (The Puppet Master) for a possible sequel (like in Batman Begins) to this movie but I didn't see that here.
I don't know how Ford will pull this off but he is a versatile actor. I'm sure he'll be just fine. Looking forward to this movie whenever it will be out. Hope the script is interesting and exciting.
