Okay, so this is somewhat irrelevant, but I just gotta say, I joined Movieweb about five years ago and like plenty of other people, drifted away from the community after awhile. But after reading these comments, I REALLY miss joining in on all the great debates and all the little "teams" everyone had. I also miss writing reviews on a regular basis. Looking back, my earliest ones were piles of crap, but I feel like I found a "tone" for my reviews with the last two or three I wrote. Just felt like throwing that all out there.

@ DUB-B
This movie is meant to act as both an X-Men Origins: Magneto and X-Men Origins: Proffesor X. This trailer blew my expectations away, and with Matthew Vaughn as the director, I think this may not only put Marvel back on it's feet since their string of failures, but also could be the best movie they've released yet. |

Yeah, but that's what bugs me. They all get so much hype when they all seem TOO similar. I just never understood why they got soo much credit other than the first movie.

I'm actually looking forward to this. I love the design of everything so far. A very "over the top" feel. As for it being an action movie, telling from what I've seen from Branagh in the past, I have a feeling this flick will surprise me with it's plot. It won't be anything like "The Matrix" or "Lord Of The Rings", but it could have more depth to it than we may see at first. I've always been a fan of the "Thor" comic series, but never thought it would do very well on the big screen. But Kenneth Branagh has really impressed me so far. Should, at the very least, be a very enjoyable "style over substance" flick.

I actually have a feeling that is Unicron. Not sure if anyone else already mentioned that, but it's just my opinion. I could VERY well be wrong.

Scratch that, I also don't like the trimmed down shoulder pads, despite that's what made the comic's outfit a little ridiculous.

Looks cool. While I like how it looks almost identical to the uniform from the comics, I still wish they would've altered it just a tad. Mainly the helmet. While Stallone's "Dredd" flick was terrible, I liked how they rendered the uniform in that one the most. I just hope this one is pretty good.

Goddamn it. I was really looking forward to this. I just read the book not too long ago and it is officially my number one favorite. I love David Lynch's version (some may consider that blasphemy), but I really was hoping for an updated attempt very soon. I sincerely hope this project gets back on it's feet soon.

I have a feeling John Malkovich's role in this is voice acting. Just maybe. If he is playing a human role, then it will either be some kind of agent or a looney stereotype character who has information about the Transformers that no one else knows. Just a hunch.

Yeah, I still think it could be good, (but it could still fail though, just watch Legion). But I of course just couldn't help but notice the similarities.

I just realized that this director doesn't seem too original. I know "Priest" is based on a graphic novel, but it hardly resembles it. So Priest is like Judge Dredd, and then earlier this year, there was "Legion" which really just seemed like a biblical version of "Terminator"

Yeah, I mean the city, the wasteland, if you replace the vampires with mutants (or robots depending on what part of the comics you are thinking of). The Priests are pretty much like the Judges, Black Hat (Karl Urban) seems to have a Rico vibe going on. And the whole idea of the villain creating a vampire army is like Rico wanting to create an army of clones.

It looks cool, but looks and feels WAY TOO MUCH like Judge Dredd. Both the comics and movie of Dredd

funny, I just started reading the book yesterday. So far, I love it better than the 1984 movie and never cared to see the Sci Fi Channel one.
