David Cassidy's daughter, Katie Cassidy, can still find work, even if he can't. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the girl has just landed a reoccurring role on the next season of the CW's Supernatural.

Cassidy will be playing Ruby, a fellow demon hunter who makes her debut on the show's third season premier.

Supernatural returns for its third season on The CW this fall.

Frankly I would take David over his daughter any day of the week. She is not a welcome addition to Supernatural and will certainly be a factor in its demise if her role is anything more than a 2 or 3 ep. recurring one.

Critics and records charts would be who said it, actually. You know, you really shouldn't post such ridiculous comments without prefacing them with "in my opinion" since they certainly aren't based on facts. David Cassidy is one of the few recording artists to have a song on the charts in every decade since the 70s with gold and platinum albums/CDs. He won a Grammy for his music and was nominated for an Emmy for his acting in the 70s. He received critical acclaim for his performance on Broadway in the 90s in Blood Brothers. He successfully toured in various stage productions across the USA and the West End of London in the 80s. He revamped and starred in a record breaking production of EFX in Las Vegas and has produced and directed a long running Rat Pack production currently touring the country in which he occasionally appears. He has produced a television show for Fox, wrote numerous songs for various artists, had 2 autobiographies published, just released a new Remix CD produced with Craig J and...I could go on and on but you get my drift. David Cassidy is currently touring successfully in the USA and the UK and has been since 2000. No one needs to be concerned about what David Cassidy is doing or has done--his long varied and continuous career more than speaks for itself. As I said, you really do look silly posting such drivel without researching the facts.
That said, it's so wonderful to see Katie carrying on a long family tradition of great acting talent. I look forward to watching her star rise as well.

I don't know why you would think that David Cassidy can't find work. He is a great singer and actor and is working continually at the moment. He has recently carried out a concert tour in the UK and is currently carrying out a programme of concerts in the USA. In addition to that he has recently released his updated autobiography which has been in the best-sellers lists in the UK. He has also just released a very successful CD with DJ Craig J, who has been joining him on the concert circuit to perform the new material. So David Cassidy is concentrating on his music at the moment rather than his theatre/acting work, but that is his choice. Katie is an incredible talent and is definitely following in her fathers footsteps, but why belittle her father when talking about her success? His music or acting may not be to your taste, but at least get the facts straight about whether he is working or not!

Hey, whoever said her father could act...or sing for that matter. Just another pretty boy face of the '70's.
BUT this daughter of his, Katie, really has some talent and this role is perfect for her. She will shine and just blow right past papa...great choice!
