NBC is close to securing three new comedies for next year's line-up: I'm With Stupid, The IT Crowd and Kath & Kim.

Stupid is from The Ferrelly Brothers' Reveille and BBC Worldwide Productions, and written by Wil Calhoun. According to The Hollywood Reporter, it's based on the BBC 3 comedy about a down-and-out guy who befriends a wheelchair-bound young man and winds up moving into his group home for the disabled.

Kath & Kim, also from Reveille, is based on the hit Australian sitcom about a divorced mother and her miserable daughter who live together in the suburbs. Nancy Pimental wrote the adaptation and is executive producing with Ben Silverman.

The IT Crowd, from FremantleMedia North America, is a comedy based on the BBC Channel 4 series about the geeky and unappreciated IT workers at a company; David Guarascio, Moses Port, Joe Port and Joe Wiseman are the writers/executive producers.

No official word on days and times for any of the shows.
