Twenty-three years ago, Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. Subsequently, their father John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, "Grey's Anatomy") raised them to be soldiers. He taught them about the paranormal evil that lives in the dark corners and on the back roads of America...and he taught them how to kill it.

The newest season is uninteresting. I first lost interest in the show in season 6. Then eventually I got around to watching season 7, which bought the show back to interesting. So, I was looking forward to watching 8, but it turned out to be annoying. Sam never fully explains why he didn't bother looking for Dean or give a good explanation. If he would of said that he did at first try to make an attempt and found that it was hopeless. Then became dead inside where he didn't care about anyone including himself. This would of been easier to forgive Sam. Instead, Sam never understands all the suffering and misery Dean went through. I thought when Cas came back looking like crap that Sam would get it, but he doesn't. The point is Sam has never understood Dean. Doesn't he think that Dean would like a normal life? From the very beginning Dean never liked hunting alone, but he did it in order for Sam to have a normal life. One of the recent episodes Sam delivers a low blow and says if it was the other way around I would of let you die. I know he said that out of angrier, but still the most hurtful thing one could of said. I wish there was an episode where Sam could get inside Dean's head and see all stuff he's been through and the memories he doesn't discuss. Like the one episode where he liked living at the boys home and Dean gave it up for Sam. It is important for Sam to see how much Dean has sacrificed for him and how much he cares. Seriously, if anyone should be holding a grudge it should be Dean not Sam.

I see that this series has a lot of fans, so this my comment some people will not be okay.
This series is, in my opinion, extremely stupid and sterile. Anyway, I love this genre, but the series is very bad.
There's no really interesting, slimy and fun big baddie. Instead we have a long list of boring, self-indulgent, one-note baddies of the week. The most interesting characters on the show are put on the back burner. The depression on this show is deep and never-ending. The show is evil. There is NO a character that would connect with the audience, and the character of which you would take care.

Series is terrible, and it seems like it's making for people with low IQ.
