Anyone catch this last week? I thought it was awesome, and I had no idea that there was going to be this supernatural element involved. So I was surprised, and very stoked!
Oh man, and don't get me started on the opening sequence. That thing was pure magic.
@brian Ha, I didn't even notice you started this thread. Nice.
Well, I've read the 1st book, so I have an idea of exactly how the 1st season will play out, and I'll tell you now that so far it's been extremely accurate. Some lines said and actions taken are literally scene for scene, word for word adaption. I'm sure purists of the book are very pleased. I know I am.
There is MUCH more supernatural craziness to be had later on. You'll see.....
I am absolutly blown away with the production values of this series and am eating it up. I cant wait to see where its all heading but its pretty obvious that the Dragon Eggs are going to be a major part of the story at some point. It is fantastic.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there ISN'T an invisible demon about to eat your face...
@dan1 ok man i am really geeking out! Like i got chills reading that line. Seriously, she is awesome. I had a feeling from the get-go that she was going to be one of the main heros, if not THE main hero. But i am so curious to see how it and if it works out with her barbarian husband. I mean i get its a rocky start but deep down i am kind of wanting them to find even ground and win the throne.

Just finished episode 3! It was the best yet. The characters are set up and now we are seeing the direction they are going to take with hints of whats to come. The Nortern Wall scenes were pretty amazing looking. I cant wait for next week.

@skywise Agreed! Episode 3 definitely amped it up. It's getting tense and you just know something gigantic is coming. How was all that crazy talk in episode 3 about winters and summer lasting for years, even decades. That is some badass stuff right there....
@brian I was also pleased to see Daenerys and lord Khal Drogo looking like they were finally finding that even ground i was mentioning earlier on. And what is the deal with these long seasons...The planet must have a very long rotation around its star but they mention that the summers and winters very in legth. Very interesting. Its going to be one long and cold and dangerous winter!

Will it get a second season? How many books are there ?
HBO already renewed for a 2nd season :)
"Meanwhile, making her way across a blood-drenched continent is the exiled queen, Daenerys, mistress of the only three dragons left in the world".
