The fifth season of this ground-breaking reality television cooking competition takes place in the Big Apple, New York. Judge Tom Colicchio among others guides our would be contenders to the covetted title of "Top Chef" through a variety of challenges which test their mettle and artistic culinary prowess.

Through the procession of episodes, various 'contestants' will be eliminated by their virtues or lack thereof, in offering up examples of their skill in the creation of fine cuisine. I personally love this series due to the fact, that we can identitfy with each of the individuals being put to the test in the kitchen, as they try to achieve the master title and win acclaim which will launch their professional career.
