Knight Rider (2008 - 2009): Review By TXCANY

I have to admit I was excited about this "reboot" but alas, the premiere was abysmal with a cheesy script, horrible acting, terrible effects and an overall boring story.

If you missed what producers were touting as their arsenal of excitement for the new series, check it out here: http://www.tvguide.com/news/knight-rider-kitt/080923-01. The thing that struck me after reading that and then seeing the show was how BAD the effects were. I haven't seen poor rear screen projection (driving effect) like that since I don't know when. The "KITT Cave" couldn't have looked more like a soundstage set had they tried.

I'm sorry, Val Kilmer is a horrible KITT. My GPS talking system has more personality and excitement than his dull and disinterested portrayal. I will admit the only exciting thing I enjoyed was the new "Transformer" version of KITT but thats not anything that's gonna keep me coming back week after week.

I'm off to drive my car with a much more entertaining GPS :)
