A lot of people believe that Dexter might make a leap forward in time in season 5 sort of the way Desperate Housewives did to show the growth of the children on the show.

That said, what about a guest villain? It might be safe to say there may be no villain, just Dexter running from what his son is now to him, as well as the revelation that Deb has had about who Dexter really is.

I think Dex will pick up right where it left off. There is so much stress that can come out of his current situation. I also have a strong feeling that Rita will be a recurring role in dexters head. I just can't wait.

Yeah, agreed. Not sure I see Rita coming back in his head, but I guess that would be nice. Only if she's naked though.

RIP Rita

I hope not. I want Season 5 to continue right after Rita's death. I wouldn't like it, if the season jumped ahead in time. I am curious about what is going to happen with Rita's kids and if Dexter will end up taking care of three children, I don't think so. Here is what I think will happen. I think that Cody and Astred will live with their grandparents and Dexter will end up being a single father to Harrison. What do you guys think?

I agree. I really want season 5 to pick up maybe a day or two after the events of the season 4 finale.

Agreed @zgcorleone072...I hope they don't jump ahead either... I hope they pick up from like the day after Rita's death as well... that's the biggest challenge for Dexter right there. Living without the one person that kept him from totally giving in to his darkside.

I think that Dexter will work harder then ever to keep his dark side controlled after it took Rita from him. But I also think that someone is gonna find out about his secret, which will complicate matters deeply.

That would be awesome if Dexter got his freedom back, RIP Rita. While I wait, I will be checking out Piranha 3D this Friday at the movies. My first 3d horror flick!

Nah, she's just coming back in Dexter's head it looks like from the teasers.

It would be nice if they will pick up it right there they left off. Because people also love to wait and experience kind of suspense.

Love this show and now have enjoyed it's all season 5 episodes. but now i am waiting for season 6 new episodes announcement . I just hope they will announce it soon.
