This series had a lot going for itself during its five season span, but was ultimately cut short without ever concluding the adventures of Dr. Sam Beckett. For all we know, he's still leaping from time to time, assuming the roles of other people and changing history for the better. One of the things that made this show work was its versatility and lack of episodic formulas. Not only did settings and actors change, but so did the time period. A lot of research when into this show to make it viable, and it certainly deserved a proper ending. This is the production that Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell will be best remembered for, and only in time, could this show return with a fresh start and more tie-ins so that the show can end on a good note.
