  • On March 2011, Concept art of a new TMNT series was in developement and also revealing that the show is being develope by Nickelodeon who in 2009 bought the rights from Warner Bros. Two days later, The teaser trailer for the new show leaked and again the trailer met a negative outcome by fans mainly du to the poor graphics and the change of Donatello's and Michelangelo's weapons. Fast Forward year, In early June the full trailer was distributive and this time the critisim was very mixed some liked the new tone and graphics and others hated it and the graphics. Fast Forward again in late July, the title sequence of the show was shown and again 5% of people like it while 95 hated and this time being rather petty at it. So I'm here to say....CHILL THE F*CK OUT!!!!!

Ok sorry for saying that but you guys really need to calm down because this show don't seem that bad. I mean, the show clearly follow it's own path being different previous franchise by combing elements such as the original comic (The sense of brotherhood, action,adventure,science-fiction) and the 80's sereis (multi-colored headbands, comedy, Splinter's alt. Origins) and as well introducing new villains besides The Shredder or The Kraang to fight, the show seems to be going the same route Teen Titans did when it differentiate itself their predsuccesors.

Now, Some of you guys are complaining about the artwork/graphics of the show now I have to say these are the best graphics I've ever seen to portray the turtles as real Teenagers such as

Michelangelo has the appearance and build of a young teenager due to his height and facial features i.e. freckles

Raphael appearance and Build of a teenage Bully or an angry teenager

Leonardo has the appearance and Build of a over achieving teenager

    ?format=jpeg&matteColor=white

Donatello has the appearance and build of a tall geeky Teenager

Some of the artwork is like ANIME Meets Comics which actually looks kinda of fun and intresting.

Some of you actually have they the balls to name and deem this as the "WORST TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA SHOW" and I'm like have you grew u the late 90's when Fox kids and Saban ENtertainment (the creators of Power Rangers actually created a TMNT show that was very f*cking similar to Power Rangers which was soon dubbed as Ninja Turtles the next mutation

and introducing the bitch that shall not be named in the this crappy ass show

So like I said before this show is offering us something new and it's doing a good job of doing that it's just some of you are to clouded by your Nostalgia of the 80's show that your Nostalgia turns into hatred at this new show so please give this show a try and if your having Nostalgia for the 80's show go buy or rent the D.V.D. and be glad that the new show is sticking to canon because they could've said "TEENAGE ALIEN NINJA TURTLES: THE SERIES!!!"

Here's some more concept art of the new show

  • @monkeyiron2-0 Nostalgia is like a drug. It clouds your vision and blinds you to the hear and now.

But change is hard for many people. Change is never that easy in the begining but usually people adjust. You are right about excepting something new, there is an old saying that goes "If all you ever do is all you've ever done, then all you'll ever get is all you ever got."

Having said that, you have to admit that animation is a very particular medium that not everyone is going to agree on. Especially when you have a very unusual art style. That is always going to divide audiences.

Furthermore, these are just people speaking their opinions, What else is the website for? When they all see the show and find out how brilliant it is...then you can laugh in out faces and say "I told you."

  • @monkeyiron2-0 I agree with @SherlockHolmes2009 the animation style and the differention between the characters is fantastic but the song was a turn off to me too. That does not mean I am not going to give the show a shot....theme songs are a very minute part of a show IMO.

  • @SherlockHolmes2009 I am a long time fan of the turtles...way back before they were a cartoon I was reading the comcs so I am always willling to give the turtles a shot.

But I was also a huge fan of Thundercats and while the animatino is damn good on the new series It just doest have the charm the original had.

  • @skywise Unfortunatly Ive never read the turtle comics, although Ive heard they were really good. I remember the Thundercats well, I enjoyed it when I was young. Animation nowadays arent the same charm like the originals

  • @SherlockHolmes2009 Rankin and Bass did the original series. they also did 80's toons The L:ast Unicorn and The hobbit.

I love good animation but i find that they just dont make them like they used too. one thing Rankin and Bass did well was they added a lot of heart to their animatino and that is mosre important to me than good animation.

  • @skywise Yea nowadays everyones making these animations just to get a nice big fat paycheck. Nobody has any heart in making animation anymore. Shows like Batman TAS and Dragon Ball Z are the shows I miss the most

  • @monkeyiron2-0 Listen, we absolutely have the right to hate on or love on anything and everything on this site. If I look at this show and do not like what I'm seeing, I will say it.. I have said on many pages for people debating and having different positions on things is not a bad thing. I am for that! That is why this site exists... As long as everything can remain on a civil level... The moment cuss words start getting thrown out there, I will deliver back... Now I never said I would not watch this show and give it a chance... Just said I didn't like what I saw. Period. I said the same thing about "The Batman" show back in the day, and I turned out to be a good show... So please... calm down and have civil debates!

  • @skywise and they definitely aren't making them the way they used too! We had Tiny Toons, Batman, Dragon Ball, even when Pokemon first came out! Very good quality shows... look what we have today... I can't even sit through them... They are awful... Thankfully, I have both Dragonball and Batman TAS dvd collections!! =D

There exist four rulers in this world: Gods, Humans, Vampires and Werewolves. The Question is, who do you think is above the food chain?
  • @SherlockHolmes2009 Yeah, I agree! Except I was also at the premiere of the 89 Batman as a very young child! It's a great show... besides I feel like these turtles look like legos... Thats right now I am hating on the turtles in 2 places! Thanks for the forum! ;)
