In Plain Sight (2008 - Present): Review By justincase
A freshman dramedy that is still trying to find its footing...entertaining nonetheless.

OVERALL3.5GREAT
Mary is the main character, struggling with family drama only a trailer-park veteran could appreciate.
Marshall (yes, he's a Marshall and his name is Marshall) is her partner.
There's a strange chemistry between them, although not romantic tension. Mary's got a boyfriend (a pseudo professional baseball player that seems to spend a lot of time with her sister, Brandi).
These 2 Marshalls engage in all manner of active investigations and take-downs to protect and serve, while trying to just get by in New Mexico.
NM is an interesting place for a show like this. Nothing much there... Not very "sexy" (nothing like Burn Notice's Miami setting).
Despite the ho-hum location, the story is decent and the product totally watchable and the most entertaining thing to be found on a summer Sunday.
There is a common narrative approach, here, that harkens to Burn Notice which, I think for fans of the latter, makes IPS an easier 'fit' into your schedule.
Worth a watch. What better do you have to do as a summer weekend draws to a close?
