The perfect happy ending to the every day struggle we watched Hank endure throughout the season? Sure. But come on, this is Hank Moody we're talking about. When things are going good for the guy, you know they're not going to stay that way for long.
So, here we are season 2. At long last we flash forward a few weeks from the moments that ended the first season only to find Hank, his girlfriend and his daughter finally all under the same roof, and Hank is doing is damnedest to keep things that way.
Of course things can't stay this sunny. During the episode Hank performs some c*ntilingus on woman he doesn't know, which of course puts his relationship with his in jeopardy. Just as well, Hank gets introduced to famous music producer who seeks out Hank to write his biography, but the apparent excess of the world of Rock 'N Roll proves as another demon Hank will have to face for what will most likely be the entire second season.
Living through all the pitfalls the guy has throughout the series, we now find ourselves as an audience not routing for the guy to finally get what he's been pining after, but rather routing for him to hold onto what he's finally got. Or maybe we're watching his life takes turns that are bound to become a complete train wreck, and we can't bare to look away. Nonetheless, Californication is back for second round, and if these first few episodes of season 2 are any indication of what's to come, we're in for an extremely entertaining ride.
