When Bart has to present his report of Treasure Island. He has not read the book and. Mrs. Krabappel has her speculation when Bart is incapable of answering her question. "the name of the pirate in the book". After school is over, Mrs. Krabappel gives Bart his grades have gotten really bad. Then she tells him about the exam on Colonial America. Bart is not paying attention at all. When Bart goes home and is giving an effort to study but puts it off instead. During the next day of school he like collapsed in the middle of class it was so f*ckin funny lol. ,but he was tryin to get out of takin the test. The Nurse he went to see decides he needs to go home.

Later that night when he went back home, Bart again didn't study ,but he called Milhouse for the answers on the test.Next day of school Bart has to take the test ,but he fails it lol. Krapabbel tells Bart that his effort on the test is even worse than Milhouse's exam. lol Homer and Marge are being called into a meeting with Krabappel and school psychiatrist Dr. J. lol Loren Pryor. They are being told that bart is an "underachiver" and they want him to be held back a grade.

Bart learns he might have to repeat the 4th grade. With desperation, he goes and ask asks Martin for help, and he helps him study. Bart reciprocates by showing him how to be cool and have lots of friends. Then turns him to take some of Barts bad attitudes. Bart reminds the "new" Martin about the test he has to help him with ,but he ignores it, preferring to hang out with his new friends and play practical jokes. Left with little time to study on his own, Bart prays to God that something will happen to make him miss school the next day so he can have more time to study. That night, Springfield is hit with a massive blizzard, and the schools are closed. and bart is all excited just to be let down and have to study.

However, Lisa reminded him of his prayer, and he decides to study for the rest of the day while everyone is outside having fun. Bart actually concentrates while he is studying, and after he finishes the test, he asks Mrs. Krabappel to grade it immediately. She gives it back to him, and he sees that he got 59%, another F. Extremely upset at this failure after his honest effort, Bart breaks down shocking Mrs. Krabappel who thought he was used to failing. She tries to comfort him, then he mentions that now he knows how George Washington felt when he surrendered Fort Necessity to the French in 1754. Mrs. Krabappel, stunned at this obscure historical reference, realizes that Bart did study after all. She gives Bart an extra point for demonstrating "applied knowledge" That pushed his grade up to a D-. Bart is proud of his D-, and he tells everybody he actually passed before realizing that he "had kissed the teacher". lmao Homer proudly displays Bart's personal best on the refrigerator.
