Another good episode for probably the best new show on the air. Lie To Me seems to be sticking to a working formula. It's not too original, yet it's unique. The only thing I don't care for so far is the fact that it doesn't seem to be following up on teasing subplots. For instance, the last episode ended with Lightman acting as if something in his past still haunts him. Torres notices this, but made no mention of it in this episode. It's as if it didn't happen. Instead, Lightman's daughter is introduced. Their relationship plays out nicely throughout the episode, though. It's interesting to see the dynamic between a man who's an expert in telling if people are lying, and his teenage daughter, and we all know how teens will lie to their parents.

The episode, like the last, focuses on two cases, one being the focal point and the other as a filler. Lightman and Torres once again team up for the main case and Foster and Loker take the other. I see pattern forming here. The main case involves the murder of a judge's daughter. Lightman believes the judge is lying at first because "her face doesn't match the grief of her words." After an awesome light bulb trick, he realizes the judge can't show sorrow because she uses botox. Meanwhile, Foster and Loker investigate a NASA pilot who crashed. The two try to figure out if it was intentional or not, and work out a number of possibilities before realizing the wife is drugging the guy because he was feeling depressed...now he's happy. YAY.

Lightman and Torres eventually discover a test for the judge's daughter that had been taken after she died...say what, now? Well, a teacher was being paid to take her students tests for them. You'd suspect the teacher would have done it, but nonetheless, a "friend" of the victim killed her. Predictable, yes, because the killer was introduced in the beginning and she seemed like the murderous type.

Overall, a good episode. The main case was kind of predictable, more than the filler case even, but it still works. However, that, plus the way they ignored the ending of the last episode, is why I gave it the score...I still love the show, though, and highly recommend it. I doubt it will be getting old anytime soon.
