@bawnian-dexeus -- Yeah, neither am I. I partially feel the same way. They did a really good job of making his character absolutely cold and devoid of any sympathy - which leads me to believe that his death will not only be brutal, but one of the highlights of the series.
Indeed. I wonder if that trait is going to carry on into adulthood(if he lives that long) or grow into something much more sinister(somehow).

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx At this point I'm not interested in the books. But I just want to strangle Joffrey so badly. I get why he does what he does, but he lacks the maturity to execute his power, and does it only like a coward would do. That's how I see it, but I agree with your description.

@bawnian-dexeus -- That's not necessarily the reason he is the way he is. He is use to stuff like that happening around him, and that's how he thinks things should be done, and he imagines that's what the people want to be done.
He is instilling fear in the people, and those around him - to shadow his cowardly ways. He knows that "power is power", so he uses that to his advantage and the people's disadvantage. He never messes with anyone his size, in a manly fashion and I think that's going to bite him in the ass sooner or later.
Have you read the books? I haven't, but I heard their pretty good, and that the show is emulating what was written down and adapting it perfectly for television viewing.
