A nice idea of both Bart and Lisa having realistic kids, Bart having kids was a long shot but just about pulled off, a funny skit with a frozen grandpa but when Lisa goes into the internet to find her daughter it's just an unfortunately dated show trying to be too modern. Which is ironic as this episode is set in the future.

Episodes where the Simpson's remember the past just never seem to work in my opinion, it's always to unbelievable. There was a recent episode of which it is revealed that Marge went to college. It was a very unrealistic idea, Homer and Marge didn't work and above all it was crushingly dull. Future episodes work a lot better as the writers are allowed to make it as ridiculous as they like. In my opinion cartoons are always funnier when the plot is mad, that is why South Park has held its own for all these years. Plus, this may be the reason why the tree house of horror episodes have always been watch-able.

So it is a decent enough episode but still felt lacking in that way when an idea takes over the comedy.
