True Blood (2008 - Present): Review By BukowskiSoul

Been reading some scathing reviews about this series so far. Maybe some were upset that HBO didn't (or perhaps HASN'T yet) go in a darker, more brutal direction with their beloved vampire genre. I thought the first episode was a decent set-up for the season. You are introduced to the characters and the back story in a humorous and engaging way. Sure it's not high art, or low brow gore, but it has potential. I, for one am saving my praise or my complaints until I see the next few episodes. If you don't like it, bite me.
