When I thought the creator of this TV show could not possibly find

anything more to knock me off my seat, they did this episode and my

backside did not stop hurting for at least an hour.

The episode "In the Beginning", was a big blast from the past, if I may

say so. A revelation of this proportion would have satisfied many of the

curiosities and the questions that the show's followers wonder about yet

it still left many mysteries unanswered. It was like a steak dinner you

just had but you still ask for the dessert because there's room for more.

This episode for me, created a sense of nostalgia and a melancholy

that I guess, is very much the same of what Dean felt (with what

happened to the Winchester and Campbell family). And the angel,

Castiel further aggravated the frustration we all felt by telling Dean at

the end of the episode that no one can change destiny (or the past). At

least, the truth they gathered could be a powerful ammo but the hurt it

caused just to obtain it was too much the cost.

If the show's creators are slowly but steadily feeding us with great

sumptuous episodes like this one, then I definitely can't wait for the final

episodes of Supernatural's season 4 because I bet it would be the

cherry on a sundae (as it has always been).
