Tales from the Darkside (1983 - 1988): Review By The CryptKeeper

Well I think Tales from the Darkside should get more credit. Unlike Tales from the Crypt, these are actually SCARY. Ok, maybe they aren't nowadays, but I bet back in the 80's people were scared sh*tless! This was the first episode I ever saw of Tales from the Darkside, and it is one one of the best, if not THE best. I haven't seen all of the Tales rom the Darkside though, so my opinion may change once I buy the series, and watch all of them.

This episode is about a evil old woman, who has a bakery. Ya, she doesn't sound so evil, does she? hahaha. She has an assistant that she treats poorly, and he can't leave otherwise she'll KILL HIM!! She has a special kind of recipe that makes cookies that act as voodoo dolls; meaning that if you focus all your rage at one person, whatever you do to the cookie will happen to the person, whether your conscience of it or not.

A great storyline I think. Of course there is more to it than that, but I'd prefer not to add the twist ending, so that way when you witness this episode, you will be shocked! I know I was.

Overall, a great episode, one of the best. Surprisingly good acting, considering it's the 80's. I could watch this episode over and over, and never get tired of it!
