When Jim Webb, Co-Owner and Head Chef of the General Wayne Inn outside of Philadelphia, is found shot to death in his office, police hatch a plan so risky it could mean letting a killer run free forever.

As the study group comes to terms with the death of a beloved classmate, Jeff (Joel McHale) easily adjusts, while Britta (Gillian Jacobs) acts as grief counselor to the rest, employing what she's learned in her psychology class. Meanwhile, Chang (Ken Jeong) is on a mission to increase his policing powers at the school and when the memorial service disintegrates into a riot, he seizes the opportunity to take more control over campus security.

Jules has a hard time accepting that Holly (guest star Briga Heelan) is part of her life, a situation that does not improve after she finds out that Holly and Travis made out; Andy wants to run for mayor so he can change the town rules against weddings on the beach (something Jules has her heart set on), but Ellie won't let him; and Laurie tries to convince Bobby he's just socially inept, not prejudiced, after he blurts out some awkward comments at the cake shop.

Mere minutes after the execution of an infamous serial killer, a copycat begins to commit crimes in the same town with the same MO. The BAU is forced to act fast – the UnSub isn’t wasting any time, and bodies are being found every six hours. As the team meets with the executed killer’s ex wife in a search for suspects, the UnSub begins to escalate his plan. While the first two women murdered are found with cut hair, the third is discovered with a shaved head. The fourth body is found after having been scalped entirely.

When a bomb kills an off-road race truck driver mid-race, the CSI team is called on the scene to investigate why.

Kelvin Moore and his wife Elaine return to the apartment building where they grew up for a birthday party at Elaine’s sister, Alicia and Kelvin ends up being murdered in the hallway. Kelvin is somewhat of a local hero: he grew up in tough circumstances, got a degree in accounting and has made a good life for himself and his wife, but he never forgot his old neighborhood. Elaine’s account of the murder doesn’t quite add up and our CSI’s figure out she’s been having an affair with an ex-con. He seems like a good suspect, but as Mac and the team dig deeper, they figure out that some neighborhood drug dealers hid drugs in Alicia’s house and she ended up destroying them. In a series of mishaps, Elaine tries to help her sister, but the plan fails and the drug dealers kidnap Alicia’s daughter. Our CSI’s manage to unravel the case and rescue the little girl. Also Christine brings loads of presents to Lucy’s first birthday, endearing her to Mac’s team.

In the penultimate episode leading into the two-hour finale of this landmark series, as her trial nears, Bree begins to fall for her attorney, Trip (Scott Bakula); Susan becomes concerned when Julie doubts Porter's commitment to be a hands-on father to their unborn baby; as Tom gets closer to being transferred to India for his job - thanks to Lynette - she begins to have second thoughts and tries to convince his boss to rescind the move; and the ladies are shocked about Gaby's nonchalant attitude as Bree continues to stand trial and take the fall for Carlos in the murder of Alejandro.
