Elijah Wood is set to star opposite Nicolas Cage in Benjamin and Alex Brewer's The Trust. The film follows two crooked cops, David Waters (Wood) and Jim Stone (Cage) who discover a hidden safe, while working in the evidence unit of the police department. The duo's desire for the possessions of the safe throws them into a deadly well of corruption leaving them fighting for their lives and questioning their every move.

Benjamin Brewer and Adam Hirsch co-wrote the script with Braxton Pope and Molly Hassell, producing. Production is currently underway in Las Vegas.

Wood recently wrapped production on Breck Eisner's supernatural action thriller, The Last Witch Hunter. The film is set for an October 2015 release date by Lionsgate. Later this year, Wood can be seen in Cooties, in which he co-stars and produced through his production company, SpectreVision. The film is also set to be released by Lionsgate in 2015. SpectreVision recently completed production on Cooties, based on the short film, Henley.

Earlier this year, Wood completed his first U.S. DJ tour with Zach Cowie under the banner, Wooden Wisdom. He is repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson and Binder and ID.
