Director Michael Bay was recently interview and divulged some new informatin surrounding the time-frame of his upcoming sequel Transformers 4.

Here the director talks about where the movie will be continued, as it takes place sometime after Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

"We are in the inception part of the story. The movie is going to continue four years from the attack on Chicago, which was in the last movie. It's going to have the same lineage, but it's going in a full new direction. It actually feels very natural how it's going in that direction."

This sci-fi sequel will begin production in spring 2013 and is being produced by Michael Bay, Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian. Mark Wahlberg was confirmed for the lead role over this past weekend.

Transformers: Age of Extinction was released June 27th, 2014 and stars Nicola Peltz, Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, T.J. Miller, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Jack Reynor. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

@ghostman Because i wouldn't necessarily say what he would say, and he wouldn't necessarily say what i would say, regarding what is quoted in the article that he said.

@themoviefanatic It's the obviousness of what Michael Bay said about the movie taken place 4 years after TF3. @bawnian-dexeus mentioned that sounds like something you would say.

@themoviefanatic -- I'm, I'm not following. I mean, I understand what he meant; I just don't understand your reply. It's as if I was going a certain direction, and someone abruptly blindfolded me, spun me around, and threw me in the same direction I was going. And I just realized it was the same direction all along, just complicated.

    If that makes any sense.
