'Top Gun 3D' Trailer

Director Tony Scott's 1986 classic starring Tom Cruise returns to the big screen for a limited engagement in IMAX 3D starting February 8.
In case you forgot last month's announcement that the 1986 classic Top Gun is being re-released in IMAX 3D, Paramount Pictures has debuted a new trailer to serve as a reminder. Fans of director Tony Scott's aerial drama can relive all the excitement as Maverick (Tom Cruise), Goose (Anthony Edwards), and Iceman (Val Kilmer) kick the tires and light the fires on the big screen, in eye-popping 3D. We know you ladies, and a few of you men, are curious how that volleyball scene will look in 3D. Take a look at this new video before heading to IMAX 3D theaters February 8 for this limited six-day theatrical engagement.

Our report from December also revealed that Paramount Home Media Distribution will be releasing Top Gun in Blu-ray 3D later this year. Although a street date has not been announced yet, the new release will include a brand new six-part documentary about the making of Top Gun, along with interviews and commentary tracks.

Top Gun was released May 16th, 1986 and stars Tom Cruise, Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer, Anthony Edwards, Tom Skerritt, Michael Ironside, John Stockwell, Barry Tubb. The film is directed by Tony Scott.

hmmm...wasn't their talk of a sequel coming at some point in the future???? maybe this is just like a back door pilot (no pun intended)? If it and the 3-d BDVD do well it may happen??? Thoughts.

Awesome I love Top Gun. It's just a fun and entertaining film by the late and great Tony Scott with at the time was a great young cast oh and lets not forget the Iceman Val Kilmer he was just great in this. If you haven't seen Top Gun check it out it's a fun ride.
