Tom Wilkinson has signed on for the indie thriller The Samaritan, starring Samuel L. Jackson.

David Weaver directs from a script he co-wrote with Elan Mastai.

In the film, Samuel L. Jackson stars as a former grifter who sets out to put his life of crime behind him after serving a 20-year prison sentence. Tom Wilkinson will play a crime boss.

The Samaritan will film in Toronto and Rio de Janeiro.

The Samaritan was released May 18th, 2012 and stars Samuel L. Jackson, Luke Kirby, Ruth Negga, Alan C. Peterson, Gil Bellows, Aaron Poole, Tom McCamus, Martha Burns. The film is directed by David Weaver.
