DC Entertainment announcements are on the way
This past Tuesday, Time Warner Inc. Chairman & CEO Jeff Bewkes briefly mentioned during the company's quarterly earnings call that DC Entertainment is going to make some major announcements soon regarding their superhero properties.

"We are going to have a fairly interesting set of announcements and presentations pretty soon like in a matter of weeks, I think, about our plans for DC. And basically if you look across the title of the whole band of hits whether it's Batman, The Dark Knight, Green Lantern coming up, Superman, there have been a huge number of franchised films that have been part of the Warner strategy that's been the reason for Warner's unparalleled high and consistent earnings advantage over the other studios and DC has already been a part of that and we are now going to outline an even more expansive plan for that in the coming months."

When that announcement comes you know that you can count on MovieWeb to provide you all the details and more!

And that post apocalyptic take on Superman would have been very profitable.

Ok, ok BD, so Millar, like K.Smith was shafted back in the early 2000's trying to get his hands on Superman? If that's the case, then I am LoLing about the big down syndrome superman he throws into the Wated series. Ballsy and Brilliant.
Apparently, he's taken somewhat of an anti-super hero stance since then. hey, at least he's still working.

ok naturally Superman and Batman 3 r the logical choices, i was more so naming the stuff that isn't obvious. I think Flash and Wonder Woman need movies. It is hard to believe that DC is f*cking up this bad with there movies and Marvel is completely owning them essentially. i mean DC has far more iconic characters, at least i think, then Marvel.

and Millar's idea wasn't and anti-hero it was just a different take and his idea would be a trilogy and that be it. he wanted to redo the origin and then through the course of the movies take Superman to a post apocalyptic world where he is the only one left cuz of his powers.

Superman....Superboy...Supergirl........Anything would be nice. But not poorly made and not made in a hurry. I would like to see it done right.

What ever happened with the Superman rights? Last I heard Smallville has a another season and they need to get a Superman film done before the deadline is up.

Isnt Millar's approach more of an anti hero take on the comic book universe?

I want to see them try a Superman reboot the right way, because if you get someone with good vision (cough*Millar*cough) you'll be surprised what comes out of it.
