Back in April, we reported that Sam Claflin and Alicia Vikander joined The Seventh Son cast. Ben Barnes is replacing Sam Claflin, who bowed out for unknown reasons. Ben Barnes will play Tom, the apprentice to master exorcist Spook (Jeff Bridges). Their charcters must team up to do battle with an evil witch (Julianne Moore) in the 1700s. Alicia Vikander is still on board as a young witch who Tom falls for.

Sergey Bodrov is directing The Seventh Son from a script by Charles Leavitt. Matt Greenberg wrote an earlier version of the screenplay. Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. are teaming up to produce and distribute the movie.

It isn't known when production will start on The Seventh Son.

Seventh Son was released February 6th, 2015 and stars Julianne Moore, Jeff Bridges, Olivia Williams, Kit Harington, Ben Barnes, Antje Traue, Alicia Vikander, Djimon Hounsou. The film is directed by Sergey Bodrov.

I'm tired of exorcist movies, sounds like "The Rite" wants to become "Season Of The Witch", and this is the product.
