Philip Seymour Hoffman stars as the leader of a controversial new religion in director Paul Thomas Anderson's heralded drama The Master, which has already garnered plenty of critical buzz as the film to beat at this year's Oscar race. Is that the 'truth'? Find out with this latest TV spot, which finds Philip Seymour Hoffman building his empire with a little help from Breaking Bad's Todd (Jesse Plemons).

The Master was released September 14th, 2012 and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Price Carson, Mike Howard, Sarah Shoshana David, Bruce Goodchild, Matt Hering, Dan Anderson, Andrew Koponen. The film is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

    @thedude-abides Dude that sucks... I hope for your sake that they release it near you so you can see it as planned... the select cities makes no sense to me, as this one film that people are truly excited for...

    @mcleve02 I just watched it. Of course, it looks amazing; but, I'm troubled by the fact that it's only showing in select cities on the 14th. I made my work schedule for the month in accordance to that date (only working a half day), as opposed to the 21st, in which I'm scheduled to work 10 hours!

    Either way, I could still do the midnight screening the Thursday before and catch it with my friends Friday night, but if there's no midnight screening, I'm not gonna wanna have to wait until the night of the 21st to see it. I've been counting down the weeks for months now as it is. Until then, I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope Nashville is one of those select cities.
