Actor Armie Hammer took time out of his busy shooting schedule on The Lone Ranger to stop by Access Hollywood, where he shared some interesting tidbits about director Gore Verbinski's adventure.

The actor first revealed that his Lone Ranger is not only more grounded in reality, but more hardcore than the original character.

""It's a little bit more badass and a little more realistic."

Earlier this month, the first photo from The Lone Ranger was revealed, featuring Armie Hammer as the title character. The actor says he is grateful that they ditched the original baby blue body costume for this version of The Lone Ranger's wardrobe.

"I'm really glad they didn't go with this like, skintight, baby blue, Lycra jumpsuit that the old Lone Ranger was wearing."

Armie Hammer also revealed that there are many scenes involving horses, and he described one particularly mammoth horse.

"We have one horse that is humongous. For anyone to get on this thing you need a stepladder, he's a beast of burden! There's all kinds of fun stuff that's going to happen on horses."

The Lone Ranger is currently shooting in New Mexico, with Gore Verbinski directing from a screenplay by Justin Haythe, Ted Elliott, and Terry Rossio.

The Lone Ranger was released July 3rd, 2013 and stars Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, William Fichtner, Tom Wilkinson, Ruth Wilson, Helena Bonham Carter, James Badge Dale, Bryant Prince. The film is directed by Gore Verbinski.

Whoa, didn't expect this kind of reaction from folks. I've yet to see anything that will suggest that this film will fail in any way. Granted, I'm not pumped for it, but where the hell's all this negativity coming from?

@SpaceCowboy@themoviefanatic If it's in production filming right now, I don't expect a teaser until Feb next year. If not by winter like Sean said.
