Robert Downey Jr. took to his Twitter page today to reveal the first trailer for his courtroom drama The Judge. The Iron Man 3 star plays an attorney who returns home when his mother passes away, and is forced to stay when his estranged father (Robert Duvall), the town's judge, is arrested on a murder charge. In addition, we also have the new poster for David Dobkin's upcoming drama, co-starring Vera Farmiga, Leighton Meester, Vincent D'Onofrio and Billy Bob Thornton, which arrives in theaters October 10.

Big city lawyer Hank Palmer returns to his childhood home where his father, the town's judge, is suspected of murder. Hank sets out to discover the truth and, along the way, reconnects with his estranged family.
