‘The Avengers’ to Screen New Footage at NY Comic-Con!

’Special guests’ are slated to appear at the panel on Saturday, October 15 at 6:30 PM ET in the IGN Theater.

The Avengers will be assembling in the Big Apple next month for New York Comic-Con 2011. The convention announced a panel set for Saturday, October 15 at 6:30 PM ET at the IGN Theater, where never-before-seen footage will be unveiled. Take a look at the official description of the event below.

"Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, in Marvel's The Avengers, the world's greatest Super Heroes must assemble to pull the world back from the brink of disaster when an unexpected enemy threatens global security. This special presentation will feature never-before-seen footage and appearances by special surprise guests."

The Avengers recently wrapped production and is slated for release on May 4, 2012. We'll keep you posted on any further details regarding this New York Comic-Con The Avengers event!

Marvel's The Avengers was released May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

    @thrashnasty190 I just looked it up and there was a temporary Fantastic Four line up in "Fantastic Four #347-349" and it was Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Ghost Rider II. I found that on Wikipedia.

    @cody-ellsmore Nearly everybody in the Marvel universe was an Avenger at one point. So yes Spidey was. I've also read He was part of the 2nd Fantastic 4 which included, Spiderman, Wolverine, She Hulk, and Ghost Rider...can anyone confirm that?
