‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors Featurette

Get an inside look at the Lizard’s rise to infamy in this latest footage from Marc Webb’s upcoming Marvel adventure.

Yesterday, The Amazing Spider-Man viral website OscorpIndustries.com/AnimalDynamicsLab led us to an OsCorp summer internship recruitment video. Now, from the same site, we get a featurette on Rhys Ifans as Dr. Curt Connors, a one-armed scientist and former associate of Peter Parker's (Andrew Garfield) dad who gets mutated into the villain of the film, The Lizard. Watch as the foremost authority on reptiles becomes a little too intimate with his subject matter.

The Amazing Spider-Man was released July 3rd, 2012 and stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, Sally Field, Irrfan Khan, Campbell Scott. The film is directed by Marc Webb.

@skywise I completely agree. If they ever wanna revisit Venom as a villain for this new Spidey franchise, they have to make him the only villain. And do his story right. I think Eddie Brock would have to be introduced in a prior film before he is introduced as Venom in another. That would be great.

I think the only reason they did Sandman was for graphics. Graphically, he was amazing but as you said, never a great villain, especially for a movie.

i never liked sandman as a villian. I mean he is down here with the likes of electro know what i mean? He is like 1st or 2nd boss you have to defeat in a video game before you get to the heavy hitters.

I liked the Venom storyline in the books but that is a villian who deserves his own movie. mano e mano. maybe MAYBE a little peak at Carnage. That would have made more sense since they had to team up to take him down...but they played that Hobgoblin story out to its boring end.

@skywise Oh that?!?! LOL, I totally forgot about that. True. Instead, they decided to go the more revenue route and opt for Venom, Sandman and return of Goblin. That movie was so incredibly bad. Comedy, story, character dev, dialogue... EVERYTHING.

@junior-roberts Dylan Baker played Dr. Connors in Spiderman 2 off the top of my head.

@skywise: When were they hinting at The Lizard in the Tobey films? I don't recall seeing any hints for him.

Pretty excited to see this. Lizard was a great choice and since they kept hinting at in the Tobey films i am happy to see him

Still unsure how I feel about The Lizard's appearance, but I am excited for the movie nonetheless.
