‘Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles’’s Thomas Dekker Says The Show Will Be Back

The latest actor to play John Connor says that second season stories are already being pitched to the network.

Despite the fact that Fox hasn't said anything official about the future for Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, show star Thomas Dekker is pretty sure that there will be a second season for the show. Speaking to Kristin at E! Online, Dekker said that the producers are currently pitching second-season stories to the network.

Dekker also spoke to frequent fan speculation that his John Connor would have a romantic relationship with the female Terminator known as Cameron (played by Summer Glau). Dekker laughed at the idea and said that he likes the idea. He further said that he thinks the idea of a human and a robot having that sort of relationship is interesting and cool and added that fans should "wait until the second season, because some really great stuff is planned-all those questions will be answered!"

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles airs on Fox, and stars Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker, Summer Glau, Richard T. Jones, Dean Winters and Brian Austin Green. The series is set in an alternate timeline following the events of Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

one of the things i like about this show is how hard it tries to be good, to no avail.
the only decent actors on the show are the cop and dean winters.

i think if that little emo douchebag were to slip it in the robot that would be just be symbolic of the writers completely giving up and deciding to make the show bad intentionally.

you know whos weird looking? Laura Vandervoot who plays Kara on Smallville, reminds me of that two-face chick on Seinfeld, one way she looks hot as hell then she turns her face a little and shes ugly as sin

Summer Glau is weird looking! Sarah Connor/Lena Headey is hot!

There isn't a problem with a divergent storyline because the TV show focuses on the pre Skynet War, the movie- Skynet war. The TV product doesn't confuse or dilute the Terminator fan base, it sustains it until T4 comes kicking ass next summer, a bridge. A network will not renew a show unless the numbers look right.

    Good show, good news!

the problem with a 2nd season is that the TV version is clearly going down an entirely different path from the movie version. its not a matter or which is better. the issue is the two are totally different. next summer, T4 is slated to hit theatres, and T4 is a big budget expensive-to-make product. the TV version is confusing the movie storyline, and draining audiences which otherwise could be counted on to go see T4. why? because hordes of potential viewers will say "yeah, saw it on TV, didnt like it" and thats the end. the novelty factor of "oh wow, another Terminator, gotta go see it, will have evaporated away". secondly, if there is a 2nd season, there might have to be a 3rd. why? because T4 is coming out in between a hypothetical 2nd & 3rd season, and its extremely bad marketing to cancel the show yet say to audiences "hey we cancelled the show after a 2nd season last week, but hey, do go see the movie". so whereas the show can barely sustain an audience for 1 season, bringing the show back for a 2nd might box the tv network into having to commit to 3 seasons, even though the viewership doesnt justify it. the only audience out there are the rabid sci-fi fanatics, not even the Terminator fans.

there was only 1 other so far. I think Terminator Salvation has potential, this tv show was cool, corney and not very entertaining, I like a few episodes.
