The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies star Martin Freeman is in talks to join Tina Fey and Margot Robbie in Paramount's true story adaptation The Taliban Shuffle.

The plot is adapted from Kim Barker's memoir of the same name, which follows her exploits as a journalist, covering the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. As she writes stories about militants and being a woman in this dangerous area, the reporter also copes with boredom through promiscuous behavior and episodes of violence. Tina Fey is playing Barker, with Margot Robbie portraying an on-air broadcast journalist. Martin Freeman is playing Barker's love interest, a hard-working Scottish photojournalist.

Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (Crazy Stupid Love) are directing from a script by Robert Carlock (30 Rock), with Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels producing.

Martin Freeman closes out his run as Bilbo Baggins in next month's The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies, and he also recently starred in the hit FX TV series Fargo.
