Sylvester Stallone Wants the 'Raid: Redemption' Cast for 'The Expendables 3'

The actor also gives more hints about the inclusion of Jackie Chan, Mickey Rourke, and Wesley Snipes for this sequel set to shoot soon.

Sylvester Stallone took to his Twitter account last night, revealing a barrage of information regarding The Expendables 3. The actor/producer says that he is 'raiding' the The Raid: Redemption cast (most likely star Iko Uwais), and then teased that Jackie Chan is also joining the cast. He confirms that Mickey Rourke and Wesley Snipes are pretty much on aboard as well, but as we've seen with this franchise, anything can and will change at the last minute. Take a look at this series of tweets, then read on for more information.

The actor hinted that Jackie Chan was joining the cast back in March, but we haven't gotten any official confirmation at this time. Patrick Hughes is directing The Expendables 3, although it is not known when production will begin. We'll keep you posted with any further casting updates for this upcoming action sequel.

The Expendables 3 was released August 15th, 2014 and stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mel Gibson, Wesley Snipes, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture. The film is directed by Patrick Hughes.

I hated Expandables 2. First was just ok. The Raid is one of the best action - martial arts movie I have ever seen. Expandables series are just about muscels and guns. They are different type of action movies.

The raid was a surprise for me, was expecting a run of the mill martial arts film, and got something so different. Truely amazing film. Expendables 1 and 2 were ok films but nothing to the standard that the 'The Raid' was. I hope these inclusions help raise the bar of the series.

Yeah I really do hope Mickey comes back for this, he is going to add emotional depth to the movie, also glad to know that Jackie and Wesley will step in to.

The Raid was great, and all the cast were badasses, but I just don't think any of them are really famous enough.

@knightmare90 the first one is better, though it's still enjoyable without the swearing.
A mixture of casts - not sure if that's a good thing besides I haven't seen The Raid.

The Raid was great. The hallway scene is probably in my top 10 favorite fights(doorway has to be my favorite decapitation lol). I'm down. Regrettably, I still havnt seen the 2nd Expendables, so ill have to catch up and see if I can get into a 3rd film!

@phatalphd The thought of Stallone even using a tiny smartphone keyboard with his massive digits is hilarious as well. I bet he has to use a 4G tablet as a phone.
