Focus will be in theaters this Friday, which means our wealth of Suicide Squad quotes will soon run dry as Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn, and Will Smith, the man who promises to give us the greatest Deadshot in the history of comic books, leave their press tour behind to actually start filming. But we still have one more day, which means one more piece of insightful information, offering a tease of what director David Ayer has in store for this DC Comics super villain adventure.

Speaking with MTV, Margot Robbie was asked where Suicide Squad falls in the spectrum of superhero movies. Will it be dark, serious and somber like Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight? Or will it be colorful and fun like Marvel's The Avengers? This being a DC Comics movie, her answer shouldn't surprise you:

"I think on a scale of like, 'Dark Knight' is here and 'Avengers' is here, I think it's more on the 'Dark Knight' side of things."

Margot Robbie went onto reveal how she was cast in the film, which will see Harley Quinn joining a squadron of super villains as they take on a very dangerous mission to clear their names...If they manage to survive. Surprisingly, she did not have to audition:

"I actually got offered this one, I didn't audition, which is a real step up as an actor when you can get offered things. Didn't have to do chemistry reads or anything like that, and then I already knew, vaguely knew Jared Leto, who's playing the Joker."

Were you hoping for a more lighthearted Suicide Squad? Well, with David Ayer behind the camera, we shouldn't expect too many jokes. If anything, it promises to be action heavy and packed with emotional drama. Not all comic book movies can be Marvel!
