Suicide Squad director David Ayer teased on his Twitter page yesterday that "something will happen" today for his upcoming comic book adaptation, which starts principal photography next month in Toronto. The director's tweet was coupled with a photo of actor Jared Leto, who sent out an Instagram stating that he had just arrived in Toronto. There was speculation that the actor's arrival meant that he could be in town for costume fittings and/or to get a haircut and shave, since the actor/musician's long-haired and bearded look isn't exactly befitting of The Joker in the comic books. This morning, David Ayer sent out a photo of of the actor's hair in a ponytail about to be cut off, while the actor himself sent out a tweet late last night, saying that he misses his beard already.

Just last week, the actor showed off his incredibly long hair for what he said would be the last time at the Oscars, calling it his "hair farewell tour." He told reporters on the Oscar red carpet that the ceremony would be the last time fans would see him with long hair, and while he wouldn't say exactly why he was getting the new look, it's obviously for Suicide Squad. We'll have to wait and see if both the director and actor post more photos showcasing his clean-shaven short-haired look later today.

It isn't known if Jared Leto's cast mates Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Cara Delevingne) (Enchantress) and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) are also in Toronto at this time, with just under one month before the start of principal photography. Hopefully we'll get to see the first official cast photo very soon as production gets under way in Toronto.
