With Star Wars: Episode VII deep into production, Disney and LucasFilm are also prepping their Star Wars spin-off movies, the first of which will hit theaters sometime in 2016, under the direction of Gareth Edwards (Godzilla). There is still much we don't know about the Untitled Gareth Edwards Directed Star Wars Spin-Off, but a new interview from Hitfix reveals that Greig Fraser will serve as the cinematographer.

While he wouldn't divulge any specific details, here's what Greig Fraser had to say about the project.

"And then I'm doing a f---ing Star Wars movie, which is like - I don't know about you but Star Wars is like my first film love, do you know what I mean? Gareth is doing a standalone film. Of course I do know some specifics, but it's obviously something I've signed my kidneys away for."

There have been a number of rumors that one of the spin-offs will center on Han Solo, with another on Boba Fett. When pressed for details, Greig Fraser wouldn't say what the spin-off is about.

"No. I can't tell you what it's about. I think I signed my left kidney to Disney and my right kidney to George Lucas. So I'd hate to be talking to you next time when I'm on dialysis."

Greig Fraser did say that the spin-off does have a working title, but, naturally, he wouldn't say what it is.

"It does have a working title but I don't know if it's up to me to tell you what that is."

Greig Fraser served as the DP on two upcoming films coming out later this year, Foxcatcher (November 14) and The Gambler (December 19). His previous work includes Bright Star, Let Me In, Killing Them Softly, Snow White and the Huntsman and Zero Dark Thirty.
