Earlier this week, LucasFilm announced that all six Star Wars movies will be available on Digital HD for the first time through the Star Wars Digital Movie Collection, which will be available on April 10. Fans can either purchase the entire collection or individual movies, each of which will include brand new special features, along with bonus material from previous home video releases. Today, LucasFilm has released eight new special features excerpts that take us behind-the-scenes of this beloved franchise.

The first excerpt features legendary sound editors Ben Burtt and Matthew Wood meeting at Skywalker Ranch to discuss how they came to work on the Star Wars films, as they share the surprising sounds that made the movies roar to life and celebrate the franchise that defined their careers. The second clip gives us never-before-heard interviews with Anthony Daniels, C-3PO, on the set of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope accompanied by rare, behind-the-scenes footage and pictures. The third clip features a lost interview with 19-year-old Carrie Fisher on the set of Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

These special features clips also include a look at the Han Solo and Tusken Raiders costumes, a glimpse into the making of the Millennium Falcon, plus new insights into the franchise's various creatures, weapon battles and the art of matte paintings. Go behind-the-scenes with these clips before picking up the Star Wars Digital Movie Collection on April 10.
