Earlier this month, we reported that the first full-length trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will debut on the first day of Star Wars Celebration on Thursday, April 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The trailer will debut in theaters with Avengers: Age of Ultron, arriving May 1. Today, the long wait is over as the trailer has debuted online.

The story takes place 30 years after Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, and we met a few of the new characters in the 88-second teaser trailer that arrived back in November. John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Finn) and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) lead the new cast members, alongside franchise favorites such as Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia). Other new cast members are Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong'o and Max von Sydow, but their roles have not been confirmed at this time

Director J.J. Abrams and producer Kathleen Kennedy introduced this trailer during the opening event at Star Wars Celebration, but if you weren't able to attend, you can watch it right here in all of its glory. There is still much we don't know about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but hopefully we'll get more plot details very soon. Until then, check out the full trailer, and chime in with your thoughts below.
