Spike Lee’s ‘Oldboy’ Poster

Josh Brolin stars in this remake of the Korean action classic that finds a man seeking revenge on those who’ve kept him locked away for 20 years.

FilmDistrict has released the first poster for Oldboy out of CinemaCon, which is happening in Las Vegas as we speak. This remake of the Korean action classic from director Spike Lee is a provocative, visceral thriller that follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is abruptly kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. Check it out as the years are counted away in this first look at the upcoming action drama.

I'm surprised Sam Jackson is even in a Spike Lee film after Lee dissed Tarantino's movies for years and Jackson said Lee hasn't even made a good movie in years.

@SirBrandon Agreed. Not a fan of Lee, or this poster for that matter, but it's got a great cast.

Not a fan of Spike Lee, but he does have my interest with this one. The original is crazy so we shall see what he can do with it. He does have a A-list cast to help him though.
