‘Sin City: A Dame to Kill For’ Photos Reveal Josh Brolin as Dwight

Director Robert Rodriguez is currently shooting this hyper-stylized action sequel at Troublemaker Studios in Austin, Texas.

While Twitter can be a fun outlet for complaining about movies and stalking celebrities, it is also a useful tool that filmmakers use to share updates about their latest projects. Earlier today, director Robert Rodriguez shared the first photos of Josh Brolin as Dwight in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. The character was originally played by Clive Owen in the first Sin City. While the director hasn't really made it clear why he re-cast a few of the roles (he also swapped out Devon Aoki for Jamie Chung as Miho), this new incarnation of Dwight looks like quite a force to be reckoned with. Take a look at these photos, along with the filmmaker's tweets.

Brolin fits right in the Sin City Universe, Clive Owen should appear near the end after the Plastic Surgery has been done

@gallagher Dwight had plastic surgery. As for Miho, I think they wanted to upgrade the talent, if not the looks. Aoki and Chung are basically the same level in terms of looks, but Chung is a much better actress.

The only recasting that is valid is Dennis Haysbert as Manute, since Michael Clarke Duncan died. I honestly have no idea why Dwight and Miho were recast.

@thomasclarke, josh brolin is playing the character Clive Owen played in the original, this time around they're recasting some of the roles, this recast made no sense to me but the other did

I hope they bring Clive Owen back for the sequel too, but Brolin sure seems to fit the cinematic universe the first film out layed.

Interesting process he has with the actors. Still not a fan of Brolin, however.
