Shia LaBeouf reveals Transformers 3 will be a better film
The star of a popular robots-in-disguise franchise arrived at the Cannes Film Festival today and said that the upcoming third film will be better than the second. Associated Press caught up with Shia LaBeouf who revealed that Transformers 3 will be the best film in the series.

"When I saw the second movie, I wasn't impressed with what we did," LaBeouf said. "There were some really wild stunts in it, but the heart was gone."

When talking about Transformers 3, LaBeouf revealed that the human element that was missing from the second film will be back for the third film, with the humans now on the run from the Transformers.

"There's going to be a lot of death, human death. This time, they're targeting humans," LaBeouf said. "It's going to be the craziest action movie ever made, or we failed."

We'll be sure to keep you posted with more information on Transformers 3 as soon as we have more information.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 29th, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

  2. Err

as long as there are giant robots and at least one fist fight between giant robots, then i really don't care if it's any better than the last one. the last one was a lot of fun, despite being awful.

I hate to say this but the third film isn't even the end. Bay wants more T films but he won't be directing any of them, producing yes. He stated this late last year, unless its a rumor. Why do you think Steven got involved? Its because the scripts needed to be better and direct one of them in the future.

@RyanMoranAkaMorantheman.... no T2 full on sucked. it took a hard left turn from awesome in the first Transformers movie to crap. HORRIBLE to the source material (well said @gandoff), repulsive and vulgar jokes (geared solely for middle school boys who like to snicker at balls on a robot or idiot twin robots), robot heaven, and horrid story direction. even shia said T2 sucked (the whole point of this article).
T3 can redeem the franchise, but T2 will always be its black eye.

@the-club, this is the last film. But no worries. Like Hollywood, it will probably get a reboot in 10 years.

It's brave for him to say that, at least he knows it fell short. Now can Steven take over after the third film

I'm surprised he's saying he was impressed with the second one either. What does Bay think about Shia saying this?

There was some story issues with transformers 2, but it was still great. Four things comes to mind on what when wrong for the story in 2. One, the decepticons used th all spark piece to revive megatron, but the autobots did not use the small all spark pice shia had to bring back Optimas. Two, they made a older leader to the decpeticons all while knowing megatron was suppost to be the origianal decepticon and leader, but make one who is old and on mars. Three, they made the contruction decepticons fight individually at the small villiage, yet have the united as the big bad ass in the twin fight. Four, they had Shia's character want to leave the side of the Autobots. That alone is crazy. He has the hottest girl, and the most koolest surronding friends. Yet he had to go away to collage? I would have stayed and gone to a community collage to stay close to Megan and the Autobots...

shia was the least of T2's problems. and "heart" was too. the story sucked and so did its presentation and surrounding cast (some of the autobots/decepticons).

hopefully the human death is the idiotic parents within the first 3 then Sam can battle through some tough inner demons, as he witnessed Megatron slaughter his family

Personally, I think the human element was the main problem in Transformers 2. They really didn't have enough to do. A little band of people running for their lives and looking for an ancient artifact, while the big army was held back from fighting for large parts of the film because of some bureaucrat. These flimsy plot lines bogged down the movie, for me anyways.

  24. the Narrator

First off, a lot of us who seem to have given the film 4 stars or even 3 stars, are and ahve been for the past few months saying that it sucked. That's not right at all. When we went in we expected better, however we didn't get it. We were still entertained. We can't simply say it sucked after writing those reviews simply because its the common thought. It did suck compared to the first, but if T2 was the first film in the franchise then it would have been a delight because we didn't expect that much anyways. Simple.

Also, Spielberg really helped with the script so I have faith this will definitly be better than the second.

@Diaigma. Friend. I rspect your views. However its not right to say if their not all good you don't want them in your collection. Well look at the priginal Star Wars trilogy. Return of th Jedi fell short compared to TESB, but it was still fun. Same here expcept on a lower characrer/story level.

HEY if any of you are saying TF1 was terrible there is something freaking wrong with you. Shia is a great actor than you'll ever be, so stop whining like bitches about how it should all be based on robots. Adding humans made it more entertaining than some stupid twin robots in the second film with racial stereotypes!

  29. Titanictom

I think They should cut about 20 minutes from TF2,Add any missing footage? and get rid of the first 11 minutes and then recut the movie and rerelease it to theaters as a replotted/redesinged/transformed sequel!!!! ala Highlander2:The renagade version.

    5 years agoby @titanictomFlag

  30. Diaigma

That doesn't excuse the 2nd. Now i'll be upset if #3 is tons better than #2
If they aren't all good, I won't buy them all.
As of now, the first works just fine as a stand-alone on my shelf :P
