Second ‘Thor: The Dark World’ Trailer!

The fate of Earth and the Nine Realms lay in the balance when Thor squares off against the nefarious Malekith the Accursed, in theaters this November.

As we reported last month, the second trailer for Thor: The Dark World debuted today, as part of YouTube's Geek Week celebration. After the events of Marvel's The Avengers, which are teased a few times in these scenes, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) enters into a shaky alliance with his evil brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), to put a stop to the destruction caused by Malekith the Accursed (Christopher Eccleston) and save Earth and the Nine Realms. We also have a new banner for director Alan Taylor's Marvel Phase Two adventure, co-starring Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Jaimie Alexander, arriving in theaters November 6.

Thor the Dark World Banner

Thor: The Dark World was released November 8th, 2013 and stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Christopher Eccleston, Jaimie Alexander, Zachary Levi, Ray Stevenson. The film is directed by Alan Taylor.

@ejk1 Yeah, I know you don't believe me, a lot of times you don't believe me for something that I say. But this is in fact the truth that, the first Thor movie has comedy. Get it on Blu-ray and watch it if you don't believe me to see for yourself.

@ejk1 Yes,The first Thor movie has some comedy. It has it on Blu-ray and on Dvd. And as I already told you before, whether its on Blu-ray or Dvd does not change anything, except that Blu-ray is high definition and Dvd is not. Why are you asking this again if I have already told you before ?

@themoviefanatic Are you absolutely, positively, 110% certain, to the point of indubitableness, that Thor, a Marvel film, has some comedy, whether on Blu-ray or DVD, and that the only difference is high and low definition?

@ejk1 Yes, I definitely am absolutely, positively 100% percent sure that thor has comedy, whether its on Blu-ray or DVD. It being on Blu-ray or Dvd does not change anything, except Blu-ray is high definition and Dvd is not. That is the only difference.

@ejk1 Yes. The movie on the Blu-ray and Dvd, isn't any different then what shown in theaters. Thor does have comedy, even on the Blu-ray and Dvd. The Blu-ray does include some separate deleted scenes from Thor with unfinished cgi.

@ejk1 Yes, Even on the Blu-ray. On the Blu-ray release of Thor, the movie isn't any different then in would be in theaters or on regular Dvd. The only difference with it being on Blu-ray, is that it would be in high definition.

The trailer felt a little poorly edited in terms of canonical setup and dialogue being inappropriately thrown in. That being said, this looks f*cking awesome. The cinematography particularly looks smashing, giving me the fantasy vibe I felt the first film sorely lacked.

loved this trailer better than the 1st one
I still wish though they would stop having the final battles on Earth, makes the main hero vs. the main villain less exciting

anyways, looking forward to more of this universe and hopefully Thor's mother can do more in this one for once
