Second 'Oblivion' International Trailer with New Footage

Tom Cruise stars as a drone repairman on a devastated earth who discovers a dangerous secret, in theaters this spring.

Drones are in the news quite a bit these days. Joseph Kosinski offers his vision of a future ruled by these remote controlled killing machines in his original sci-fi thriller Oblivion. Tom Cruise stars as a baseball cap wearing drone repairman on a devastated earth who uncovers a dark secret after rescuing a crashed female pilot he must nurse back to health. The second international trailer has arrived for this spring release from the minds that brought us Tron: Legacy and Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. Watch and learn what our world might become over the course of another couple decades.

Oblivion was released April 19th, 2013 and stars Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Melissa Leo, Zoe Bell, Abigail Lowe. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski.

    I like the idea of a conspiracy, I just hope the conspiracy is something greater than humans lying to humans, maybe something like Machines were the real enemy, they won and then took humans and made them believe a different story, and Tom's character is just one of those who has no idea that there were no aliens at all.. type thing.

    I like this live-action take on Wall-E (jk, folks), and the fact that M83 is working on this makes this an instant watch for me, but I'm just not sure Cruise was the best choice of lead..
