@thedude-abides See, there you go, I got 2 people backing me up on how awesome Spartacus is :D

Yeah, Spartacus and the prequel were both awesome even with the gay stuff! Even though I really liked Arnold's versions, it's time for a fresh take and this looks to be a solid effort, for sure!

@dan1 I agree that Spartacus was awesome. It has something for everyone (including some scenes of gay sex but that makes sense for the time period as you said because they were a pagan society) I love the show regardless and there is plenty of T&A and violence to make up for the few scenes of gay sex.

Aboutt his poster....isnt this just the same as the one we saw before sans animation?

I love the Conana mythos and i know everyone is like "no Arnold, no conan" but i really dont want to see some middle aged guy playing the role. I just want to see more Conan....with a hard R rating.

And yet Conan got by without Arnold for 50 years in books and comics...

I personally don't give a sh*t if this breaks Avatar records no ARNOLD no CONAN.

@dan1: LMAO!! No, I'm definitely glad you said something. After all the shameless sex you were talking about, I would've had my doubts, lol.

@thedude-abides Good. You'll be so busy with all the straight sex (don't worry, it's like 95% percent straight) and carnage going on that you won't care, but I had to throw that disclaimer out there. I didn't want you to watch it and be like "Hey, Supes didn't tell me there was gay sex in this, that f*ggot". :P

@dan1: That's okay. Brokeback Mountain's one of my favorite movies. That kinda stuff doesn't bother me when seeing on the tube for some reason. If I see it in person, now that's another story.

@thedude-abides The only downside to it is there is some gay stuff thrown in there as well, but you have to remember the times it portrays. People back then didn't have the qualms they do over sexuality as we do these days. Be prepared to look away on a few scenes :P

@thedude-abides Well, the prequel season just wrapped up. You can catch all the episodes for Spartacus: Gods of the Arena on Instant Stream through Netflix now (it's 6 episodes). Watch that first, then watch Spartacus: Blood and Sand, also all available on Netflix for Instant Stream (13 episodes). Then you'll be caught up. Trust me, you'll burn through it, it's so much fun. It's not a TV show, it's like a spectactor sport. Picture UFC fighting, only they kill each other :P

@dan1: U sold me. I'm all about guilty pleasure. Do u know when it comes on?

  14. Dan

@thedude-abides DUDE. Spartacus might be the bloodiest show ever put to film, not to mention it has the most sex you'll ever see. Seriously, there are beheadings, arms/legs hacked off each episodes (in various, gruesome ways), it's completely over the top (the crowd is hilarious, you'll see women getting into it so much that their boobs are hanging out all over the place, and people f*cking in the stands, I kid you not, it's a riot), followed by threesomes, foursomes, full out orgies. You want guilty pleasure, Spartacus has it all and THEN SOME.

  15. thedude-abides

@dan1: Damn. Spartacus. I've gotta go back and watch it. I've got netflix and whatever movie channel it comes on, and I've yet to see a single episode. I don't watch t.v. shows because of the enormous time suck they can become, but I've really been wanting to watch it.

  16. Dan

@thedude-abides I've seen WAY too much Spartacus. My mind instantly goes to the bloodiest, most sex filled thoughts now when I think of sword n sandal type movie/shows. And why shouldn't it? Things SHOULD be dirty and sexy and wrong, shouldn't they? :P

  17. thedude-abides

@dan1: I will have gotten my money's worth if this is anything like the last 2 scenes u described. I'm gonna be pissed if it's not shameless killing and threesomes throughout.
