@undeadslayer4 Yes, I thought I give it a change, but it was not good enough. We already knew the whole origin story. The Lizard was very crappy.

@undeadslayer4 It does matter because it a trailer spoils the surprises of a movie then it's not worth watching.

@jasonkat Because then you go to the movie and you know everything that happens, and in scary movies that absolutely RUINS it. One of the best examples I can think of for that is the Paranormal Activity movies. I haven't been scared by a single one of them because every trailer had every scare in it already for you. What's the point in spending money $60 to go to the theater for that? Imagine if they'd had every Jaws scare in the trailers for it (keep in mind, you never even SEE the shark until WAY into it when watching it). Teasers are very different from every scary scene. Even good ones like Insidious and Sinister showed a bit too much in the trailers.

Exposing too much takes away the anticipation whether it's nudity, scary scenes, or anything. Even with the crappy plots, if they just learned to hold more of that back, movies wouldn't be so crappy these days.

They just had to spoil everything in the trailer, just like what that other trailer did for Dream House. I will still see it but wow.... They dropped the ball badly here.

I actually have seen the original for your information, how else would I be able to make my previous statement?
I studied the trailer for the remake hard and there are some differences from the Sissy Spacek version
it's in all the remakes I've seen and it won't be an exact carbon copy

@jonspidey07 I take it you haven't seen the original.

@ghostman Exactly.I'm heading to the theater tonight to watch Evil Dead.I think that movie has more potential then Carrie as far as remakes go.I think Julianne Moore will save this film if anything.I just can't buy Chloe as the outcast, being bullied type.If they can make Charlize Theron homely in Monster surely they could have altered Chloe's look.

@jasonkat We liked to be surprised by the movie when we see it in theaters. Why show everything in the trailers and have little to show us in the actual movie?

I remember the trailers for Super 8 showed very little, and I was hugely entertained and surprised with how much they did not show in the trailer when I went and saw the movie. I'd rather have a movie trailer show 60% of the film and not 95% like most do nowadays.

I normally hate remakes, but this looks promising. And it don't bothers me when I know the ending. If you read the Harry Potter books you also knew the ending but you still watched the movie.

i dont know why some people hate to much trailer-footage, Im one who wants to see more than just words in a trailer. If you want me hooked show me the action, show me the terror, show me the romance, A trailer like this1 can get anybody hooked, (or at least it should), you'll either like ir or you'll hate it just by the trailer. Why have very lil footage and then you go watch it and you end up not liking it. I mean if people dont wanna see what its about then dont go see it or dont watch the trailer itself.

Interesting. Trailer showed a beginning, middle, and end. I don't need to see this movie since trailer practically gave it all away and I've seen this before with the original.

although, I will say, it does look to be a closer adaptation of the book.

you can't really say that the trailer showed the whole movie since you haven't actually seen the movie itself
some trailers are very misleading and just like all remakes it's not gonna be an exact copy 100%
