Dwayne Johnson shared frequent photos from the set of his upcoming action-adventure Hercules last year, and the actor seems to be continuing the same trend with his new project San Andreas, a week before shooting begins. Earlier today, the actor sent out the following photo of his training with the Los Angeles Fire Department Air Squad, where he is practicing his rappelling techniques. Take a look at this behind-the-scenes training photo below, then read on for more information about this disaster movie.

San Andreas Set Photo

The actor is portraying a Los Angeles Fire Department Air Squad helicopter pilot, who sets off on an aerial journey from L.A. to San Francisco, to rescue his estranged daughter (Alexandra Daddario) after a massive earthquake strikes in Northern California. Carla Gugino, Colton Haynes and Art Parkinson co-star in the adventure, which Dwayne Johnson revealed last month is the "first 3D earthquake disaster movie ever filmed." Stay tuned for more photos from the set as production starts up next week, under the direction of Brad Peyton (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island).
